“U” stands for the fetish called Unusual Sex Practices. That’s all well and good, but here’s my dilemma on this one- who defines unusual? I can guarantee that what might seem unusual to you probably seems perfectly normal to someone else. Conversely, what seems perfectly normal to you may seem unusual to others. The definition of sexual deviance also varies from culture to culture, so in my opinion, this fetish–and according to my Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practices, it is a fetish–is a highly subjective one.
When sitting down to write this post I started trying to think of things that might fall under the term “unusual” and then I realized that most everything I do could fall under that umbrella. Being a Phone Sex Mistress, for example, to many is highly unusual but to me, it’s perfectly normal (not to mention very enjoyable and lots of fun!). Phone sex is considered abnormal by many, but certainly not to this Phone Sex Femdom!
Are Fetishes and Paraphilias Unusual?
So, here’s a question for you. Isn’t everything that could be considered a fetish unusual? By definition, a fetish is “a form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc.”
The definition of abnormal is “deviating from what is normal or usual.” Given this definition, abnormal is just a synonym for unusual. The meaning of both words is highly subjective; therefore, I ask you again: Who determines what is considered abnormal or unusual?
Does it Really Matter if What You Enjoy is Considered Unusual?
What you enjoy sexually is almost certainly considered to be unusual or abnormal by somebody somewhere. I say to that, “Who cares?!”

Oh you are so right and you know this spoke to me so directly. I live in a world where almost all the fetishes I like would be considered unusual if people knew about them. And that is why I am here, as I suspect are many, because they feel good and it feels good not to have them feel unusual or abnormal.
